Dan Greenwood and J Starpoli hail from Western MA, and have been involved with improvisation and noise since the days of performing with their bands ...proof of the shooting... and Squidlaunch. Since then they have both gone on to produce different projects (Diagram A and the RICEnsemble, among others), but continue to come together to explore connections between acoustic and electronic sound-making. Harnessing the breath and electrical current to power their tools (in the form of trombone and handmade electronics), the Greenwood / Starpoli duo create a unique form of experience based in intense listening to their sounds unfolding in the moment.
